Duties:

  • Represent clients in court throughout North Carolina, including handling foreclosure, replevin, and other creditor-related cases.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and contracts, on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Advise clients on legal matters, business transactions, and dispute resolution.
  • Negotiate settlements to resolve legal disputes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Assist the North Carolina Managing Partner with various tasks as needed, providing comprehensive support across practice areas.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active licensure to practice law in North Carolina (required).
  • Admission to the three Federal District Courts of North Carolina is a plus.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Preferably 1-5 years of experience in legal practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in client and court interactions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Background in real estate law is advantageous.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • North Carolina State Bar License (required).
  • Admission to the three Federal District Courts of North Carolina (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with clients, court personnel, and defendants.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage a variety of cases.
  • Ability to negotiate settlements and resolve legal disputes.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities to assess complex legal issues.
  • Experience in real estate law or creditor's rights preferred, but not required.
