Job Overview:
A fast-growing and dynamic plaintiff-side law firm in Silver Spring, MD is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with 0 to 4 years of experience (including 2024 graduates). This role focuses primarily on federal court wage and hour disputes, offering an exciting opportunity to work on complex employment cases that advocate for employee rights. Ideal candidates will thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and have a passion for plaintiff-side litigation.

Duties:

• Manage case screening and the initial intake process for employment-related matters.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions and document reviews.
• Handle factual development and legal research to support case strategy.
• Prepare for trial, including trial preparation and advocating on behalf of clients in court.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to case strategy development.

Requirements:

• 0-4 years of experience, including 2024 law school graduates.
• Strong interest in plaintiff-side litigation, particularly in wage and hour law.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Maryland Bar membership is required, D.C. Bar membership is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Maryland Bar (or eligibility to become a member).
• D.C. Bar membership is preferred.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to case management.
