Business And Construction Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business and Construction Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be crucial in handling diverse litigation matters, providing legal counsel, and contributing to the firm's success in resolving complex legal issues.

Duties:

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents (contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, lien-related documents, and settlement agreements) for contract negotiations and litigation proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, attend client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Take fact and expert depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Analyze case facts and conflicts, develop litigation strategy, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
• Communicate efficiently with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure effective case management.
• Maintain up-to-date client files to access other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5 years of strong, relevant, verifiable experience in a similar role.
• Florida Bar Admission.
• Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• 5 years of experience in business and construction litigation matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar Admission.
