Job Title: Senior Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Immigration Attorney. This position requires an individual with a strong background in immigration law and experience managing complex cases, especially in removal defense and family-based immigration. This role will be responsible for overseeing a varied caseload, interacting with clients, and collaborating with a dynamic legal team to achieve favorable results for clients.

Duties:

• Clarify immigration principles and offer strategic solutions for diverse client cases.
• Represent clients, both detained and non-detained, in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Oversee a comprehensive caseload, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
• Conduct intake and consults with detained clients at designated centers.
• Prepare a range of immigration applications, including but not limited to removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration application packages as necessary.
• Liaise with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding updates in immigration law.
• Conduct strategic consultations with prospective clients to assess legal strategy.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS testimonies.
• Conduct thorough legal analyses to identify case benefits for clients.
• Draft and submit legal briefs across various immigration case types.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience practicing immigration law, including courtroom and USCIS applications.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other attorneys and support staff.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive client and team interactions.
• Demonstrated capability in managing a high-volume caseload with precision.
• Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS petitions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership, with eligibility to practice immigration law in Arizona.

Skills:

• Proficiency with case management software (preferred).
• Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for complex case management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
