A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in First-Party Property claims to join its Fort Lauderdale office. The ideal candidate will manage property insurance disputes through litigation, negotiation, and settlement, ensuring clients achieve the best possible outcomes. Duties:

  • Handle property insurance claims and disputes from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Manage case files effectively and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates and legal guidance throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance claims or civil litigation.
  • Strong preference for candidates with First-Party Property experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
