Job Overview: A law firm in Akron, OH, is seeking an experienced Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial finance and real estate transactions, focusing on representing both lender and borrower clients.

Job Duties:

  • Represent lender and borrower clients in real estate financing transactions, including construction loans, term loans, and mezzanine loans.
  • Handle various real estate transactional matters such as acquisitions, dispositions, and development work.
  • Conducted legal research and provided advice on complex real estate finance issues.
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including loan agreements, purchase agreements, and leases.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations relevant to real estate transactions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar (or ability to become admitted promptly).
  • 5+ years of experience practicing law, focusing on commercial finance and real estate matters.
  • Proven experience in real estate financing transactions involving lender and borrower representation.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with real estate development projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in legal practice.

Certifications (Preferred):
