Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, seeks a skilled Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of workers' compensation claims, from initial review through trial and appeals.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough file review and legal analysis of workers’ compensation claims.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs.
• Maintain an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients at depositions and hearings regularly.
• Prepare for trials and attend court proceedings as necessary.
• Retain and evaluate expert witnesses as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers’ compensation law; experience in other practice areas is a plus.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice law in Georgia and other states is advantageous.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research abilities and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and collaborate within a team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client management skills and professional telephone manners.
