Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Global Projects Transactional Associate Attorney focusing on construction contracts, particularly in the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in construction contracts, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage a team while providing excellent client service.

Duties:

  • Draft and review construction contracts of various types, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance contracts
  • Manage a team of junior associates and work closely with partners on project transactions.
  • Analyze and synthesize new information related to projects and contracts
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients in the energy industry
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in project transactions

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver or reciprocity
  • 3 or more years of experience working on construction contracts, preferably in the energy industry
  • Experience managing a team or supervising junior associates
  • Strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to providing excellent substantive work and client service

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver or reciprocity
