Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking experienced litigation attorneys to join its dynamic Litigation Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile real estate litigation cases, handling complex legal matters from inception to resolution. The position emphasizes professional growth, courtroom advocacy, and substantial client interaction.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in complex real estate litigation matters.
  • Conduct discovery processes, including document reviews and depositions.
  • Research and prepare compelling legal arguments for court filings and client advisories.
  • Represent clients in state Supreme Court and federal court proceedings.
  • Handle appellate matters as needed (preferred but not required).
  • Appear in court to argue motions and advocate for client positions.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop legal strategies and ensure comprehensive case preparation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of litigation experience in state Supreme Court or federal courts.
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently from initial filing to trial.
  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong courtroom presence and confidence in oral arguments.
  • Experience in real estate litigation and trials is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in New York State.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
  • Federal court admission (preferred).

Skills:

  • Excellent research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and legal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
