Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its growing Immigration team in Fort Worth. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain valuable experience in immigration law and further their career in a supportive and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Senior Associate Attorney, manage their own caseload, and collaborate with an experienced team of legal professionals.

Location:

  • Fort Worth, Texas

Duties:

  • Explain immigration law concepts and develop strategic solutions for clients.
  • Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a caseload of diverse immigration cases.
  • Conduct intakes with detained individuals at immigration centers.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and make necessary adjustments to immigration applications and packets.
  • Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Meet with potential clients for consultations and develop strategic plans.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS testimony and court appearances.
  • Provide legal analysis and determine potential benefits for clients’ cases.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in immigration law (experience in family-based petitions, EOIR, detained individuals, and USCIS applications is preferred).
  • Must be a team player and collaborate effectively with associates and legal assistants.
  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
  • Proven ability to move legal cases forward and manage caseloads effectively.
  • Experience with case management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a diverse range of immigration matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas (active and in good standing).

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
  • Client-focused approach with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in case management software is a plus.
