A law firm seeks a motivated associate attorney to join its growing civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in general civil litigation, with a focus on probate and real property litigation being highly desirable. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Handle various civil litigation matters, including probate and real property litigation.
  • Attend court hearings and trials, both in person and virtually via Zoom.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop legal strategies and provide counsel throughout the litigation process.
  • Engage in discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document reviews.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage case development from inception through resolution.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Familiarity with general civil litigation procedures and processes.
  • Experience in probate litigation and real property litigation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for courtroom appearances, client interactions, and written work.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
  • Ability to handle hearings and court appearances, both in person and via Zoom.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
