Location:

Duties:

  • Represent municipal clients in various legal matters, including land use, zoning, municipal governance, and litigation
  • Advise and provide legal guidance to businesses, port districts, fire districts, and local governments
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and pleadings
  • Engage in legal research and case preparation for litigation
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies
  • Handle negotiations, mediations, and settlements in municipal law and litigation matters
  • Maintain a high level of professional conduct and ensure compliance with legal standards
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth through business development and client relationship management

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in municipal law, litigation, and/or land use law (public or private sector)
  • Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated track record of success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A license to practice law in the State of Washington
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a collegial and growing law firm environment
  • A proactive approach to managing cases and client relationships

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar

Skills:
