Associate Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join its legal team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in various legal areas, including family law, employment law, and criminal law. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage cases from start to finish, demonstrate excellent research and writing skills, and effectively represent clients in court. The role provides the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload while ensuring compliance with legal standards and delivering exceptional client service.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters, with a focus on family law, employment law, and criminal law.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies based on an analysis of case facts and applicable laws.
• Communicate clearly with clients, providing updates on case progress and explaining legal options.
• Negotiate settlements for clients where applicable and advocate for favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient and thorough case management.
• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files in compliance with legal and firm standards.

Requirements:

• Ability to conduct thorough legal research using a variety of resources and tools.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate complex legal issues and develop strategies.
• Outstanding communication skills for effectively working with clients, colleagues, and court officials.

• Familiarity with the administrative processes of a law office environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Oklahoma.
