Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney to join its team in Lakewood, CO. Duties:

  • Manage a substantial caseload from intake through case resolution

  • Negotiate plea agreements on behalf of clients
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and legal options
  • Prepare for trial, including discovery processes such as depositions, gathering evidence, and retaining expert witnesses
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to meet deadlines and provide comprehensive legal representation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal law
  • Proven experience in handling a variety of criminal defense cases, including trial experience
  • Strong understanding of Colorado criminal laws, regulations, and legal procedures
  • Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with professionalism and efficiency

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Colorado Bar license, in good standing

Skills:
