A law firm seeks a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its Albany office. This role involves working on high-profile public policy matters and complex disputes in diverse areas, including healthcare, environmental and energy law, economic development, government procurement, gaming, and insurance. The litigation practice frequently involves interactions with government agencies and includes a nationally recognized First Amendment practice.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex disputes and litigation matters.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery, including e-discovery.
  • Provide legal counsel and support on high-profile public policy issues.
  • Collaborate with government agencies on relevant matters.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in complex litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and managing discovery processes.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and client service abilities.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
