A law firm with a strong reputation for representing clients in high-profile injury cases is expanding into Arizona and seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to establish and lead its new office. This role offers a unique chance for an attorney with a background in complex injury cases to manage serious claims from the ground up. The selected candidate will work closely with leadership, receive direct support from accomplished trial attorneys, and have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s local presence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with firm partners to ensure alignment with established strategies and client service standards.
  • Oversee and manage a full caseload of serious injury claims, specifically focused on workplace injuries and occupational illness cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal analysis, applying advanced research techniques through online legal platforms and traditional resources.
  • Prepare a wide range of legal documents, including initial filings, procedural motions, and persuasive legal arguments.
  • Represent clients at all stages of legal proceedings, including pre-hearing conferences, administrative hearings, and appeals.
  • Engage in negotiations to secure favorable outcomes for injured clients through settlements or alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Counsel clients on the workers' compensation process, their rights, and potential legal strategies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona (or eligible for reciprocal admission if currently licensed in another state).
  • Significant hands-on experience handling workers' compensation cases, particularly those involving severe injuries or long-term disability.
  • Deep understanding of procedural rules, statutes, and administrative law governing workplace injury claims.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, including subscription-based services and public legal databases.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for drafting clear, persuasive legal documents.
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to advocate effectively for clients both in and out of court.
  • Analytical thinker with a detail-oriented approach to case management.

Preferred Education & Certifications:

  • Advanced training or certification in workers' compensation law is a plus but not required.
  • Completion of continuing legal education (CLE) programs focused on personal injury, insurance law, or administrative law.
