A law firm in Washington D.C. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy and Infrastructure Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should have substantial expertise in project financing of energy and infrastructure projects, including Holdco financing, construction to back-leverage financing, and tax equity/tax credits. A solid background in negotiating credit agreements and collateral documents for energy and infrastructure projects is essential. Stellar academic credentials and major law firm experience are required.

Duties:

  • Handle US project financing for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Manage Holdco financing for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee construction to back-leverage financing.
  • Engage with financing structures involving tax equity/tax credits, particularly on the tax equity/investor side.
  • Negotiate credit agreements and collateral documents for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Advise clients on legal strategies related to energy and infrastructure project financing.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex financing issues.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement financing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments in energy and infrastructure financing.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in energy and infrastructure project financing.
  • Expertise in US project financing, Holdco financing, and construction to back-leverage financing.
  • Experience with financing structures involving tax equity/tax credits is a plus.
  • Proven ability to negotiate credit agreements and collateral documents for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Stellar academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar in Washington D.C. or eligibility to waive in.
