Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an Executive Compensation & Benefits Associate with 2-6 years of experience in executive compensation within a law firm environment or a similar setting. Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support related to executive compensation and employee benefits matters.
  • Assist with transactional work related to mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate compensation and benefits agreements.
  • Advise clients on structuring executive compensation packages to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Research and analyze relevant regulations, case law, and industry trends related to executive compensation.
  • Collaborate with other legal teams and business units to develop solutions for complex compensation issues.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and interactions with regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits, preferably within a law firm.
  • Experience in handling transactional matters is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations, including tax laws and securities laws, affecting executive compensation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (e.g., Texas or New York).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent writing and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and providing collaborative solutions.
