Associate Attorney needed for Sacramento office

A law firm in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with a keen interest in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing, oral advocacy, and time-management skills. Prior experience in a law firm setting is preferred. Candidates must either be members in good standing with the California State Bar or pending Bar exam results.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist in the preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
• Manage caseload and deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar or pending Bar exam results.
• Strong interest and/or experience in civil litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
• Prior experience in a law firm setting preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the California State Bar or pending Bar exam results.
