The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Property Casualty law and a proven track record in managing complex cases across state and federal courts. This role involves significant responsibilities, including case management, staff supervision, and trial preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation cases.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts, ensuring thorough preparation and effective litigation strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, evidence collection, and deposition preparation.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive testimony is obtained.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, complaints, motions, and briefs, with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and present cases for trial, including developing trial strategies and presenting evidence.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, regularly updating case progress and strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation.
  • Proven experience managing cases in both state and federal courts.
  • Strong background in supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage discovery, take and defend depositions, and draft legal documents.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
