A prominent law firm in San Francisco, CA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Venture and Growth Associate Attorney to join its dynamic finance department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with lender-side representation for commercial finance matters, particularly with banks and private credit funds. This role involves managing high-profile cases in fast-paced environments and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to deliver exceptional legal services.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Deliver high-quality work products, answer calls, and respond to correspondence in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, expectations, and firm policies while producing accurate deliverables.
  • Maintain and foster positive working relationships within the firm and with clients.
  • Participate in meetings and virtual conference calls, managing work responsibilities in both physical and sedentary settings.
  • Handle competing demands under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Undertake additional duties, tasks, or projects as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in lender-side representation for commercial finance matters.
  • Proven experience representing banks and/or private credit funds on loans to technology, life sciences, and/or middle-market companies.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and business judgment skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and persuasive abilities.
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
