Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility Attorney to join their team in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and demonstrate a solid commitment to advocating for the rights of elderly clients and their families. This role involves providing legal representation, guidance, and support in matters related to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in negligence, abuse, and malpractice cases in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Engage in pre-trial discovery, including taking depositions and preparing witnesses.
  • Negotiate settlements and engage in mediation or arbitration as necessary.
  • Advocate for clients in court hearings and trials.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients and their families on elder care and facility compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, healthcare professionals, and investigators to build strong cases.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
  • Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about elder care legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
  • Experience practicing law, focusing on nursing home or elder care law.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling cases involving nursing home and assisted living facility issues.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing elder care facilities.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of elder care laws and regulations.
  • Strong litigation and trial experience.
