A prestigious full-service law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance to join its CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) Lending and Servicing Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in CMBS and balance sheet financing, as well as asset management and servicing of CMBS or balance sheet loans. This position offers the flexibility to work from any of the firm's multiple office locations across the United States.

Duties

  • Handle commercial real estate finance transactions, specifically focused on CMBS and balance sheet financing.
  • Manage asset management and servicing aspects of CMBS/balance sheet loans.
  • Conduct legal research, drafting, and negotiation of related documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage a portfolio of CMBS transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice on commercial real estate finance matters.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on CMBS/balance sheet financing and servicing.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
