Duties:

  • Oversee assigned cases from initiation to resolution.
  • Monitor and adhere to case deadlines.
  • Conduct research, develop cases, and prepare witnesses.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Engage in client consultations, liaise with opposing counsel, and manage key communications.
  • Prepare case files for settlement negotiations, focusing on both liability and damages.
  • Represent clients in trial, mediation, arbitration, and depositions.
  • Present and argue motions in court.
  • Stay current with evolving local, state, and federal laws relevant to practice.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on litigation.
  • Licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas or willing to obtain dual licensure.
  • An active member in good standing with the Missouri and Kansas State Bar Associations (additional states are a plus).
  • Proven experience in legal strategy, motion practice, depositions, and courtroom proceedings.
