Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts and present strategic solutions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Manage a diverse workload of immigration cases, ensuring timely progress and thorough preparation.
  • Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments to meet legal standards.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to determine the best course of action.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews.
  • Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits and opportunities in clients' cases.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration matters.
  • Prepare, submit, and review immigration applications, including family and humanitarian petitions to USCIS.
  • Coordinate case strategies with team members for comprehensive legal support.
  • Manage various case filings and deadlines to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Research unique legal issues and remain informed about legislative changes impacting immigration law.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex legal challenges.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by firm partners.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA Accredited Law School (required).
  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any U.S. State or territory (including DC, Puerto Rico).
  • Fluency in Spanish (required).
  • 1-4 years of experience in immigration law, demonstrating a strong understanding of the field.

Education:

  • J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in any U.S. State or territory.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues with creativity and critical thinking.
