Appellate Lawyer

Job Overview: A leading personal injury law firm is seeking a skilled appellate lawyer with a strong background in personal injury law and appellate practice. This role involves managing appeals for complex personal injury cases, ensuring clients receive justice at the appellate level through exceptional legal research and writing.

Location:

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of appellate litigation, including drafting briefs, motions, and petitions for review.
• Analyze trial records to identify appealable issues in personal injury cases.
• Present oral arguments before appellate courts.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys to preserve issues for appeal during litigation.
• Conduct thorough legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
• Advise clients on the likelihood of success on appeal and provide strategic recommendations.
• Monitor and interpret relevant appellate court decisions and trends in personal injury appellate law.
• Assist with post-trial motions and consult on trial strategies to avoid appellate issues.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the applicable state bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate law, preferably in personal injury cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active state bar license.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, civil procedure, and appellate procedure.
• Proven track record of successful appellate work.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple appeals concurrently.
