Lead Estate Planning Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced and compassionate Lead Estate Planning Attorney to join their team in Bluffton, South Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing expert legal services to seniors and their families as they navigate estate planning, elder law, and long-term care issues. The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, including attorneys, paralegals, elder care coordinators, and Medicaid benefits specialists.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal advice on estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
• Assist clients with Medicaid and other long-term care benefits planning
• Review and update estate planning documents as necessary
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to offer comprehensive support to clients throughout the aging process
• Manage client cases from start to finish, ensuring that all legal aspects are addressed thoroughly
• Stay updated on changes to relevant laws and regulations to provide the most accurate advice

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in elder law, estate planning, and trusts
• Active South Carolina Bar License
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid and long-term care planning
• Client-focused with a strong desire to help families plan for the future
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a strong desire for professional growth

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active South Carolina Bar License
