Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join its personal injury team in Raleigh, NC. This position is ideal for a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation who is ready to take on litigation cases and mentor paralegals and support staff.

Duties:

• Manage and handle all aspects of litigation cases related to personal injury matters.
• Mentor and provide guidance to paralegals and support staff throughout the litigation process.
• Conduct thorough reviews of medical records, bills, and injury reports to support cases.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties, utilizing strong communication skills.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case documentation and records.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Attend court hearings and trials as needed, representing the firm’s clients effectively.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing with the NC State Bar.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of prior litigation experience focused on plaintiff personal injury cases.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Excellent understanding of medical records and injury assessments.
• Knowledge of automobile insurance coverages and regulations.
• Experience with Needles case management software is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
