Immigration Attorney

A well-established law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking a highly motivated Immigration Attorney to join their team. The Immigration Attorney will handle a variety of immigration cases, collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, and have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases while contributing to the firm's continued success.

Location:

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and explain immigration concepts to clients.
• Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
• Manage a caseload of diverse immigration matters, including family-based petitions, removal defense, and humanitarian cases.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including petitions for family-based immigration, removal defense, and other USCIS applications.
• Review and make necessary revisions to immigration application packages.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates and issues.
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients and determine case strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law.
• Strong ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward efficiently.
• A team-oriented individual with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Proven track record of representing clients in immigration cases, including family-based petitions, EOIR, detained cases, and citizenship applications.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build client relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar Admission in any state.
