Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience

A law firm in Honolulu, HI is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to engage in direct client contact. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the state of Hawaii or awaiting Bar results at the time of application.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Engage in direct client communication, including consultations and client meetings.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case files and records.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas.
• Assist in business development activities, including client presentations and networking events.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2-4 years of experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Hawaii or awaiting Bar results.

Education and Certifications
