Job Overview:
A law firm in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking an Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will manage personal injury cases, work closely with clients, and negotiate with insurance companies. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with legal staff to ensure all legal work is completed with the highest standards of professionalism and legal compliance.

Location:

  • Kansas City, MO

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation process.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through clear communication.
  • Draft legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all documents prepared.
  • Adhere to all legal standards and regulations in managing cases.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar license in Missouri (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil practice, preferably in personal injury law.
  • Preferred: Active Bar license in Kansas.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Missouri Bar License (required).
  • Active Kansas Bar License (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using modern legal software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
