A law firm located in Menlo Park City is seeking a skilled Litigation - Connectivity, Privacy, and Information (Copyright) Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in handling litigation related to connectivity, privacy, and information law, with a focus on copyright issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters related to connectivity, privacy, and information law, specifically focusing on copyright disputes.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to litigation matters.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, preparation of discovery requests, and responses.
  • Assist in deposition preparation, witness interviews, and trial preparation.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on legal issues related to connectivity, privacy, and copyright law.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy development and implementation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong emphasis on litigation involving connectivity, privacy, and information law issues, particularly copyright disputes.
  • Solid understanding of copyright law and its application in digital environments.
  • Experience with legal research tools and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in technology or intellectual property litigation.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and cybersecurity issues.
  • Experience managing complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
