Associate Attorney Litigation (Employment Law Focus)

A law firm seeks a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its growing employment law department in Santa Ana, CA. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with 2-4 years of litigation experience who is eager to advance their career in a supportive and collaborative work environment. While experience in employment law is preferred, it is not required, and candidates with class action experience will be given additional consideration. Duties:

• Draft and file legal pleadings and discovery documents.
• Represent clients in both in-person and remote court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates and insights regarding their cases.
• Manage cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring quality and timely execution.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and improve department efficiency.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of proven experience as a litigation attorney.
• Experience in employment law is preferred but not required.
• Class action experience is a plus.
• Strong skills in legal drafting and document preparation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365.
• Must have a valid California State Bar license, with current MCLE compliance.
• Must have reliable transportation for attending court hearings and meetings.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
