 law firm seeks an Intake Attorney to join its growing team based in Gadsden with options for some remote work. This new role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the firm's Intake Department, assisting potential new clients who reach out for legal services. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide exceptional customer service, guide clients through complex legal situations, and help assess their needs for legal representation.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Intake Department and senior attorneys to assess the needs of potential new clients.
  • Provide initial legal guidance and information to clients about their legal options in criminal defense, family law, and probate matters.
  • Assist in triaging client inquiries, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate attorney or department.
  • Maintain organized records of client interactions, legal inquiries, and potential cases.
  • Communicate effectively with both clients and team members to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Meet performance goals, including client conversion and client satisfaction, as well as other key metrics.
  • Work independently and remotely, but also as part of a supportive team.
  • Participate in occasional client meetings, consultations, and case strategy discussions with the firm.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in customer service, sales, or similar roles involving direct client interaction.
  • An active member in good standing with the Bar (no pending or prior disciplinary issues).
  • Strong ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a demonstrated history of excellence in professional roles.
  • Passion for serving clients, particularly in criminal defense, family law, and probate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a Windows-based environment, with experience using Clio or similar case management software.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion in all client interactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing (preferred).

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service and client relations experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Skilled in using legal software and case management tools such as Clio.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage workloads independently.
