A law firm seeks a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its team in Albany, GA. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities of workers' compensation law and is committed to delivering outstanding legal services.

Duties:

  • Initiate new client files and maintain ongoing communication throughout the case process.
  • Conduct thorough investigations for each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documentation, and entering pertinent details into the firm's database.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assess liability issues, maintaining active communication with insurance companies.
  • Manage clients’ medical care by coordinating with healthcare providers and clients, scheduling appointments, and explaining procedures and necessary documentation.
  • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records to ensure comprehensive management.
  • Organize and maintain case files, preparing them for submission to demand writers.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing effective relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Proficient in phone communications, with the ability to manage extended calls.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Georgia Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Georgia Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus.
