Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Antitrust Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in mergers and acquisitions, HSR (Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act), merger compliance, and transactional counseling. This role offers the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the practice with significant early responsibility.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on antitrust matters, particularly in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conducted HSR filings and ensured compliance with antitrust regulations.
  • Advise clients on merger compliance and transactional counseling.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and dispute resolutions related to antitrust issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex antitrust cases.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts and court filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in antitrust laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in antitrust law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HSR filings and merger compliance.
  • Proven ability to handle transactional counseling.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience in a large law firm or relevant government agency is preferred.
  • Completion of a federal clerkship is strongly considered.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia or able to obtain licensure promptly.
