Job Overview: A law firm specializing in intellectual property law is seeking a Mid-Level Pharmaceutical Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation, and possess strong counseling skills for disputes within the pharmaceutical industry.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all phases of patent litigation, including pre-trial and trial activities.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze complex legal issues specific to pharmaceutical patents and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide litigation support.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement and validity issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical patent litigation, focusing on Hatch-Waxman Act litigation.
  • Undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or a field related to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the United States.
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office (preferred) or ability to qualify.
