Duties

  • Draft, manage, and submit a range of petitions and applications involving family-based and humanitarian immigration relief

  • Represent clients before administrative agencies including USCIS, EOIR, and the Board of Immigration Appeals

  • Collaborate with internal legal staff on strategy, filings, and hearing preparation

  • Maintain oversight of case timelines, regulatory deadlines, and documentation accuracy

  • Research statutes, regulations, and precedent decisions to support case development

  • Compose and review legal briefs, client correspondence, and submission packets

  • Stay updated on evolving immigration policies and procedural changes

  • Tackle complex legal issues and offer creative, compliant solutions

  • Uphold ethical obligations and professional responsibility standards

  • Perform additional legal tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited institution

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state or territory

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in immigration law

  • Familiarity with humanitarian-based relief (VAWA, U visa, T visa) is highly desirable

  • Strong command of written and spoken English

  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Bar Membership in good standing with any U.S. jurisdiction

  • Advanced legal research and writing capabilities

  • Detail-oriented organizational habits for managing high caseloads
