Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Junior Tax Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of transactional tax experience to join its dynamic tax practice. The successful candidate will work on a variety of tax-related transactions, including real estate, fund formation, and REITs. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in tax law, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage both independent responsibilities and team collaboration.

Location:

Duties:

  • Assist with a variety of transactional tax matters, including real estate, fund formation, and REIT transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and draft memoranda and other written materials on tax-related issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on partnership tax, investment funds, and real estate-related tax matters.
  • Work closely with other team members to manage and execute complex tax transactions.
  • Handle significant individual responsibilities while working collaboratively within a team.
  • Engage with clients and provide clear, concise advice on tax-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of transactional tax experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in tax law, including coursework in partnership tax or related areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting legal memoranda.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage both team-based projects and individual assignments.
  • Experience with partnership tax, investment funds, REITs, or real estate transactions is preferred.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Candidates currently pursuing an LL.M in Taxation are encouraged to apply.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar is required.
