Associate Attorney needed for South Jordan office

A law firm in South Jordan, UT, is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil litigation and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. This position is suited for an individual with excellent academic credentials, strong litigation skills, and a desire to excel in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Handle civil litigation and insurance defense cases from inception to resolution.
• Conduct discovery processes, including managing disclosures and taking/defending depositions.
• Draft and argue motions in court.
• Make court appearances and effectively represent clients.
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and management.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting cases.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation and/or insurance defense.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Utah.
• Proven experience with discovery, disclosures, depositions, drafting/arguing motions, and court appearances.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong client service orientation.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active membership in the Utah State Bar.
