Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. This position involves managing a caseload of bankruptcy-related matters and providing effective legal support for clients. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to advocate both in writing and orally. The role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for a balance of office and home-based work.

Duties:

• Review and execute Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of Claim.

• Conduct Chapter 13 Plan Reviews and attend related court hearings (telephonic and in-person as required).

• Draft Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay, Objections to Chapter 13 Plans, and other pleadings for secured creditors.

• Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring it meets client expectations and deadlines.

• Address escalated or time-sensitive matters as needed.

• Assist with special projects and other duties as required by the firm.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

• 0-10 years of experience in bankruptcy or mortgage servicing is preferred.

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada; additional multi-jurisdictional licenses are a plus.

• Experience with Chapter 11 and Adversary Proceedings is an advantage.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in Nevada (required).

• Additional State Bar admissions are a plus.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong research abilities, utilizing both legal and non-legal resources.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related software tools.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.

• Analytical and detail-oriented with the capacity to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to changing work environments.
