A law firm seeks a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its established team in Reno, NV. This position is ideal for a candidate with up to five years of experience who is eager to grow in various practice areas, including trust and estates, taxation, and civil litigation. Duties:

  • Assist senior attorneys in complex legal matters within trust and estates, taxation, and civil litigation.
  • Perform legal research and drafting of legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and filings.
  • Attend client meetings, draft correspondence, and provide counsel on legal issues.
  • Work alongside a team to prepare for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other associates and partners on multi-disciplinary legal matters.
  • Engage in continued professional development and contribute to the firm’s mission of excellence.

Requirements:

  • 0 to 5 years of legal experience, preferably in trust and estates, taxation, or civil litigation.
  • Strong academic background, with a preference for candidates holding a Tax LLM, CPA, or judicial clerkship experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate intellectual capacity and perform sophisticated legal work.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and mutual respect.
  • A commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Nevada or eligible for licensure in Nevada.
  • Tax LLM and/or CPA certification (preferred but not required).
