A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with a background in M&A to join its Energy Advisory group in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex renewable energy project financing transactions for industry-leading clients.

Duties

  • Advise clients on renewable energy project financing transactions.
  • Collaborate with a team to create innovative structures that mitigate risk and foster business opportunities.
  • Represent clients throughout the project lifecycle, including development, construction, operation, finance, and acquisition.
  • Effectively communicate and work within a deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of M&A experience, preferably in the renewables or electric power sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (D.C.).
