She was good at keeping me updated. I liked the BCG online access. It was very organized and I could see all the places [where my application] was pending. I think that facilitated the process of the job searching. She showed me my current employer that I wouldn't have really known about or looked into had Jessica not reached out. Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's you used?A. Better than other recruiting companies because 1) it is easy to see the online system - it is very nicely laid out and I think that distinguishes you from other recruiting companies. I very much enjoyed that aspect of it. Before interviews: find out what the day to day would look like and what specific area of law the candidate will be practicing in. Ask more questions to the hiring firm before purposing it to the candidate. She understands that sometimes the firm doesn't always share that info but if we could try to push and get a bit more.

I worked with my legal placement professional over the course of a few months and have to say that she was absolutely phenomenal. My legal placement professional took the time to really get to know me. We spent 20-30 minutes initially and she made the effort to understand me. She also was available anytime I had a question. She would report back really promptly. Anytime I had a question, no question was too small, there was no question she couldn't answer and it made me feel really good about the process, that was one of my favorite things. She was very knowledgeable and it made me feel really comfortable. Another thing, I had a unique situation and instead of balking at it, she embraced it and said that we could figure it out, and she did. One great part was that I had a liaison between myself and the firm, which made it much more comfortable for me so that I didn't feel like I was bombarding them with questions. Having the recruiter do it, you know, she has all of the experience she knew how to deal with the firms, that is what she has done with her career, so that was nice as I didn't have to reach out directly about anything. BCG is much more attentive than other search firms, and when I search again, I will certainly be reaching out to BCG to see if my legal placement professional is available.

Honestly, the best part [about working with BCG] was getting a job in the end, especially when I had mostly stopped looking for myself. Since you got me the job, I'd put you on top. Even without that, you didn't pigeonhole me into "temp" work just because your firm was divided into temp and permanent placement (and make it hard to get into the other group), so I'd still put you on top. I think more than anything else, I really appreciated that it was effective. A couple of the factors that I appreciated were the transparent communication was great, being kept up on the status of things. Initial expectation management, a layout of what I could expect in terms of how long it would take for the firms to be responsive and what I might expect when they did respond. Having only done a job search with you guys, I don't know how it would have gone if I hadn't used you guys, but I can affirmatively say that having worked with BCG that it was effective and I didn't have to put active energy into it beyond clicking yes or no to submit to firms, based on the updated links that I was given, so from that aspect it was fairly time effective. A couple of other recruiters reached out to me while I was working with Becca, but also it was a matter of the fact that Becca had a fairly large portfolio of possible client's that she could recommend me to that she had worked with before which was more attractive than the others who would only provide on occasion, smaller firms. Having worked with you guys, I would recommend you to others.

My favorite thing about BCG was the summary sheets I got every week. Those helped me keep track of what was going on verses other recruiters that would say "I am applying to this position" and I would never hear back about it either way, and in some cases, I am not sure that they ever applied. This is my second time working with Becca and I have the confidence to know that the work was getting done and I didn't need to fret over every detail with her.
