What where some of your favorite things about working with BCG and Jessica? The wealth of knowledge of the market. There was a broad range of listings available - to be able to see on the website and take the time to look and approve firms instead of just getting a phone call asking if I had heard of a firm and what did I think. The periodic reminders that came in over the weekend were great. When there were offers on the table Jessica was very helpful about walking me through it and giving advice on how to approach certain things. I don't think it would have been possible [without BCG]. The industry I am in is a very close knit group/small world. These are listing I probably wouldn't have found without working you guys. Even if I applied through LinkedIn I don't think it would be likely that my resume would make it to the top of the pile, or certainly wouldn't have gone as quickly. She [Jessica] was really great! I hope I never have to work with her again, but if it comes to it I will be reaching out. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's? As you got me the offer, I would say #1. As far as the quality of the experience - 2nd. There was another recruiting firm that reached out to me that had a better sense of the particular market that I was in. Jessica had a broad sense of the NY real estate market but not so much of the niche niche area that I am in.

Placed at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLPThe legal placement professional who I worked with had a lot of knowledge about the firms I applied to. That was helpful, especially because I was looking in a market that I'm not currently working in. She [also] had a relationship with the firm that I ended up being placed at, and I thought that was helpful.[Working with BCG improved] the logistics [of my search]. I think it would have been very difficult for me to have distributed my resume, the letters, and everything else to the number of firms that [were] involved if I hadn't worked with my legal placement professional.[BCG Attorney Search is] worth talking to to see if it is a good fit [for you].
BCG is a very streamlined process. It was very easy. I appreciated having a consolidated presentation where I identified preferred markets and my legal placement professional was really good at presenting me jobs. I am a very junior attorney and you are the first recruiting firm I have worked and will again if I ever needed to and will recommend you to others as well.

Placed at Harness, Dickey & Pierce PLCMy legal placement professional was super responsive. I had some experiences with other places and that hasn't always been the case. My legal placement professional was particular well suited to work with me because she had the big firm background and has made moves away from that and that is what I was looking to do too. Even when I wasn't hearing from her I knew she was working because there would be something she was showing me, either new firms or just checking in. A lot of it was her constant communication and being really responsive. My legal placement professional was great and did a really good job and I enjoyed working with her!I ended up at a firm that frankly I probably wouldn't have heard of and when I researched it after she sent it to me I was like "wow!" I didn't even know they existed and didn't know they did what I was looking for. It gave me an idea of a lot of different firms that I probably wouldn't have even looked at. Q.Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A.Easily the best! It hadn't been as formal of a search as this last one was but the few people I have communicated with in the past, I would check in after 2 or 3 weeks....[inaudible]. It was nice to get the constant communicate and that's not something you always get from other recruiters. You guys were far and away the best.

Placed at Bosshard Parke LTD.The BCG app is pretty convenient. I didn't use it a ton because I wasn't involved in the process for too long. You can go on and approve the jobs and the listings and the way it is set up is really nice. My legal placement professional was really great! Especially early on, she didn't contact me too much but reached out when there were good opportunities. The job I ended up taking wasn't one that was posted. It was an opportunistic job so I thought it was great that she went ahead and contacted places she had connections with anyway. She worked at a quick speed and I was under a time crunch with another opportunity and she really moved things along for me very quickly. It was helpful to have my legal placement professional there to ask questions about the firm. She had a lot of insider information that I probably wouldn't have gotten a lot of with my own research. In a traditional setting I would have tried to connect with someone at the firm or someone who used to work there but because of the time pressure everything happened within a week and she was able to give me a lot of details about individuals and the firm that was beneficial to me when I was interviewing. Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A. My legal placement professional is the only recruiter that I have worked with that passed my information along without there being a job posting which I liked because, obviously, it ended up working out for me. It is a more aggressive, not in a negative sense, approach and especially given the circumstances in the economy and with the pandemic you need somebody like that right now. You need someone that will advocate strongly for you!Overall it was a very positive experience and I have recommended it to other people since. On the whole, I was very pleasantly surprised with the process and very happy with it. Nothing negative to report at all!
My legal placement professional was very professional and responsive. She had good insight on the process and made it a well to do process. You guys kind of did the search for me and made it much easier. That is what you look for when you go to a recruiting firm. I haven't actually used recruiting firms in the past successfully so I would say by default, top of the list!

Placed at Fox Rothschild LLP.My legal placement professional was incredibly thorough, number 1, and very responsive to my needs. She really found some excellent firms that were interested in me and my skill set and really overall I thought it was such an easy experience and I highly, highly recommend my legal placement professional. She did a great job!Me in particular, I am currently living in Montana and was trying to find a job in Wisconsin, and in kind of a specific area in Wisconsin. My legal placement professional gave me some really good options, not only in Milwaukee, and in the area I eventually want to live. I ended up taking an offer at one of those firms and I was over there for 1 weekend and a couple extra days and did some interviews and had some offers about a week to a week and a half later for the firms. I only had to go over there one time and it was really, really easy... almost too easy.I hadn't worked with any other [recruiting firms] before, but I can't imagine anyone would be as good as you guys. It was almost too easy and I am incredibly grateful for the work that my legal placement professional put in and it made it just so easy for me and I really enjoyed the experience.
I felt like my legal placement professional was very thorough, very timely and I think she was very attentive to what my interests were. In other words, I didn't get a bunch of inquiries or she didn't send me or talk to me about opportunities that she knew probably weren't going to be in my wheelhouse or of interest to me. She took into account very quickly and very thoroughly what I was looking for because that saved me the trouble of turn down things that I likely wasn't going to be interested in. BCG saved me time, obviously I was looking for a job while working in my current one and that can be a challenge to do that, so for me, the most valuable thing was saving me time.
I would have to say that my favorite thing about working with BCG and my legal placement professional was the extent with which she valued my personal preferences. She took a lot of time speaking with me about what I was looking for in my next job, what kind of law I wanted to practice, and what kind of firm I wanted to be in and did a remarkable job of tailoring her search results to those preferences. On a more personal note, she really respected my time and you are respectful of my time too, I just mean she frequently talked to me after business hours because she knew that is when she know I was available. She made my job search exceptionally easier. I didn't, other than carrying a resume to the interview, have to do any document work. I sent all of my documents to her and I didn't even have to find my own connections and determine where my resume was going to be sent, the whole process was handled by BCG. It made it a lot easier and that was a process that would have otherwise been very time consuming. Especially when you are already working as a full time lawyer.

Placed at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A.My legal placement professional was very helpful in explaining the process as I had never worked with a recruiter before. I actually had never been through interviews or any of it as I had clerked where I got my first position, so she was helpful in explaining the process of everything to me. She was also very responsive and nice to work with. She knew of the opportunities for me and she set up the interviews and that made it easier with the traveling and such. I have never worked with a recruiter, so I have no benchmark to compare my experience to accept that I did talk to one recruiter a month before her and she wasn't very helpful and she said there really wasn't any work as I was moving from Florida to Colorado. She said there was really no way, and wasn't hopeful at all and didn't even try and was trying to push me into looking at markets like Atlanta and Chicago and other markets where I didn't want to work just because I think it would have been easier for her if I looked in those markets whereas my legal placement professional was realistic but was hopeful and it ended up working out and that was a lot better than the other experience than I had.
University of Florida Levin College of Law, Class Of 2012
Placed at Holland & Knight LLPI liked the communication, back and forth, how you just add a response. There are a good number of firms listed back and forth, like I would wait a week and then there would be other options, it ended up working out. The recruiter seemed to say good things about me and that really helped in the interviews as well, I believe. I still did some of my own searching online, but a lot of times, there were firms that were confidential and you don't know who they are and can't really get a foot in the door. Where you guys were reaching out on my behalf, it helped me get that foot in the door. I would say you are the best of the 2 recruiting firms I have worked with previously.

Placed at Young and AssociatesI have not worked with a recruitment firm before, but the recruiter I worked with seemed to have a good knowledge of the industry, was aware of new postings and opportunities quickly, and she was very communicative with me. It saved me a lot of time, being able to apply to things quickly right away, that I might not have had the time to do as quickly or effectively [otherwise]. I also became aware of opportunities that I don't think I would have become aware of had it not been for them. [BCG Attorney Search is] professional, hardworking, and knowledgeable. [BCG is] very helpful, you should talk to them.
I loved working with my recruiter. She basically reached out and told me that she thought she could find me a job in Chicago, and she delivered on her promise. I enjoyed reviewing the weekly updates on firm contacts and status of same. She was a great coach during the process (weekly telephone conferences, pertinent articles on the interview process, etc.) Besides completing the BCG Application Worksheet and revising my resume per her request, my recruiter took over and did all of the work. I did not have to continue checking the legal job sites, as she was doing this for me, as well as contacting other Chicago Law Firms regarding my interest in relocating to Chicago. In fact, I probably would not have ended up in Chicago without her assistance, as my current position had not yet been advertised by my current employer. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are professional, aggressive, and timely. I would rank BCG at the top (#1) compared to other recruiting companies. I would highly recommend BCG to my peers or someone in a similar position looking for a career move. I was skeptical because I had been contacted by legal recruiters after graduation from law school to no avail. My recruiter was persistent in reaching out to me, and I decided to reply to see what might happen. I'm glad I did, as I am loving Chicago and working at my new firm.

Placed at Robinson & Henry P.C.Some of my favorite things about working with BCG include the following: Personalized service - It felt as if they got to know my background, qualifications, and needs moving forward; Frequent contact - my recruiter kept me well up to date on my status with various organizations and new opportunities; Trust - I had faith in my recruiter to seek out appropriate positions. This lessened my burden of needing to constantly be monitoring postings as I knew she would present me with opportunities that were a good fit; and just having someone to bounce ideas off of, remind me of the basics, and focus my thoughts heading into interviews.Working with BCG saved me time and energy! My recruiter was the first filter for all jobs and only contacted me with options that were a possible fit.The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are effective, efficient and reliable.I would rank BCG as the best compared to other recruiters. If you are looking to move firms, you need to contact BCG. Whether you are causally searching or in the need for a quick move, my recruiter will be the person in your corner. She was constantly on the lookout for possible fits, prepped me for possible scenarios/outcomes at interviews and guided me though the offer process. She saved me time and energy and I would most certainly recommend her to others.

I also liked your vast network of different professionals in different cities. I worked Brian was very responsive. Working with BCG Attorney Search took all the work out of it for me. I never had to look for anything; they let me know the search updates. They also let me make my own decisions about what to apply to. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG Attorney Search are professional, client oriented, and knowledgeable. I would rank BCG Attorney Search at the top compared to other recruiting companies. I have actually referred a number of people to you already. I would describe BCG Attorney Search as great to work with and very hard working. With my legal placement professional, she didn't just look for open positions, she also tried to work with contacts at various firms that may or may not have had open positions. I had worked with a couple different firms before and none of them were willing to do that.
I worked with my legal placement professional and I enjoyed working with her. She provided useful information to me and really turned me on to a law firm that I ultimately joined. It's a law firm that I would not have considered if it were not for the information she gave me.I would rank BCG very high when compared to other recruiting companies I have worked with.I would say that BCG is a good place for those attorneys who are extremely good. If they have a very powerful resume or if they are extremely talented, I think BCG will work very well for them. For those kind of candidates I would say BCG is probably the best choice.

Placed at Fox, Swibel, Levin & Carroll, LLP.A recruiter in the Chicago office found me my job. She was very helpful, she was very responsive and she got results. I had a resume that was a little non-traditional since I had moved a few times. I don't know what she did, but she got results. She also set up interview coaching sessions with me. She did a lot of the leg work. I never had to follow up with her to see the status or anything, as she kept me regularly up to date. It was about three weeks between the time I was working with her and the time I got a job. It wasn't a long drawn out process. I found my recruiter to be very professional, effective, and legitimate. Maybe a better word is actually knowledgeable. She called me, she understood what she was selling, and she understood the process really well. I think she handled it like a pro. I would rank BCG as the top recruiting company. I would recommend you guys wholeheartedly.

I would rank BCG at or near the top compared to other recruiting companies.BCG is a very strong placement firm. Northwestern University School of Law, Class Of 1992
Placed at Dorsey & Whitney LLPI was really impressed by the initial screening and all of the effort that BCG puts into getting to know the candidate, all of the information that is requested, and just the fact that you would want to get all of that right up front to make sure you have the full picture was a good indicator right off the bat. It indicated that you took your candidate seriously and really wanted to find a firm that was a good fit rather than just something that would be an easy contract. Karen herself was really lovely. She was very responsive and incredibly friendly to work with and a very good listener. She was very proactive without being pushy, which is a tough line to straddle, and she did it very successfully. She was excellent. I kept my own internal spreadsheet of where we had applied and what was going on, and just knowing that, especially with my non-conventional resume, I had someone who was presenting me in a very professional way, someone who was experienced at packaging a candidate rather than, from my perspective just sending my weird resume without context was challenging I think. Having someone to help usher that in in an appropriate, professional way, really made me more comfortable with applying. Karen was so lovely to work with and really was clearly on top of everything. I would absolutely work with BCG and specifically Karen in the future if the need arises.
My recruiter was amazing; they were very responsive, knew the market, understood my skills and were able to figure out a good firm for me to be at.It made it easier to have someone review my resume. My recruiter reviewed my cover letter, which was well drafted and that helped. Also targeting the potential firm helped. The first three words are: experienced, since I know most of your recruiters have been lawyers, so I think they can understand better; being responsive; and well prepared: every time before I was going somewhere my recruiter knew what to do what and say. My recruiter was very well prepared.I would rank you very high among other recruiting companies.I would recommend BCG Attorney Search.
My favorite thing about working with BCG was locating positions that I wasn't aware of. Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Class Of 2006
Placed at Dykema Gossett PLLCWhen I contacted BCG I said that I wasn't even sure if I wanted to stay in the law. The recruiter I spoke with was very understanding. There was no coercion but she said this is what I have on the table at the moment, these are the firms and this is what they are like. She pointed out that it didn't have to be as it was at my previous firm. My recruiter was very familiar with the Chicago market, she knew lots of information about the firms she suggested to me. The pace was pretty fast, all in all, about 3 weeks from discussion to offer. Ultimately, I took an offer and, at the 6 month point, it's exactly as it was described.
Following my initial consultation with BCG, my recruiter came back to me with an extensive list of firms who were looking for someone with my level of experience. All were very suitable, several impressive, and some outstanding.
Thank you so much for your feedback and insights. I definitely found our conversation today to be very helpful, and I expect that I will walk into my interviews with much more confidence because of it. Your cover letter to the firm was simply incredible and I get the impression that you are very successful in your job and I am happy to be working with you!
I can't thank BCG enough for the assistance in my transition. They clearly had information about the firms which was more than that publicly available. It made a difficult process for me considerably less so.
BCG Search is a wonderful resource for attorneys looking to make a lateral move. Not only is your website very informative, but your recruiters are very accessible and knowledgeable about the entire interviewing process. My recruiter was extremely professional and accommodating in providing me with assistance and advice from the beginning of the process all the way to the absolute end. Such support was very critical to me in my job search because I was a junior associate seeking opportunities out of state. With her assistance and guidance, I landed more than one interview and received more than one offer in a very short period of time. I am so excited to be moving back to my hometown to embark on this new adventure at one of the most prestigious firms in the entire state, all of which was made possible by my BCG Search recruiter. Many thanks to the entire BCG Search team.
I enjoyed speaking with Katy today. She seems to be an excellent recruiter and is certainly a pleasure to work with. I appreciate BCG's help as I make this transition to Boston.
Right after contacting the job-seeking website for a position of patent agent, my recruiter gave me a brief phone call, swiftly acquiring information about my experience and qualifications. Within a day, based on my recruiter's professional analysis of my experience and qualifications, they sent me a detailed list of job openings and planned application strategies;the list includes not only the closely matched ones, but also the ones based on their analysis and job-seeking strategies that I may obtain a position, enhancing my chance of landing a job. Also, they sent me a detailed list of all the documents needed for a strategic application, with guidance to make sure that my abilities and strength are noticed by the targeted potential employers. After choosing my favorable openings and preparing the documents, they launched their tailored plan of contacting others and recommending me to the firms. Overall, the experience of job seeking with my recruiter is very efficient and strategic with a goal of having interviews and landing a job in short time.
My recruiter is smart, competent and caring. Working with my recruiter is a pleasure. They knows what they are doing and they know the field. My recruiter is very organized, accessible, processes matters immediately and keeps me aware of all steps in the job search process. They have excellent writing skills and know how to honestly highlight my relevant experience to match the job at hand. With their level of excellence, when I learned my recruiter is a Harvard Law School graduate I was not surprised. I highly recommend my recruiter.
I would like to thank my recruiter and BCG for all of their assistance in this process. My recruiter has been great; they are very professional, understand our business and, therefore, know what I am looking for. Over the last few months, I have worked with a number of recruiters, and I must say that my recruiter and their firm really stood out among them as one of the most professional. I truly enjoyed working with BCG.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with my recruiter during my first legal job search. Not only a move to a new field in patent from a science background, but also to a very competitive area. My recruiter was able to find many qualified opportunities for me in various cities, at the same time, my recruiter strongly established in me a confidence in securing a legal position. My recruiter discussed with me in detail, and provided deep suggestions about application strategies and targeted law firms. I am 100% satisfied that my recruiter is the key person for my legal career.
Julie took care of every facet of my job search from beginning to end- the only thing she didn't do was go on the actual interview. She addressed all of my questions and concerns promptly and negotiated every detail for me. She took all of the stress out of the search process for me.
I moved across the country to an entirely new legal market, and Julie was able to find me a position at a top firm within three weeks. She was professional, responsive, and I do not believe I could have secured this position without her assistance. Julie is an invaluable resource, and I would recommend her to any professional looking to make a move.
Julie, thanks for all your help dragging this across the finish line! I can't wait to get to Chicago!
Thanks, Julie! I just accepted the offer via email. YAY!
Julie was amazing. She stepped up when I was in the market for a job and quickly helped place me at one of the best firms in the area where I was looking. She made the process of finding a new job in a new market completely painless.
Julie was referred to me through a friend after I had attempted to work with several other recruiters with unhappy results. I was trying to do what many of them thought was nearly impossible - not only switch practice areas, but also transition back into Big Law after several years of not practicing law at all. Unlike other recruiters who'd quickly given up, Julie stayed positive, optimistic, and encouraging about my goal. She was always responsive, made me feel like a priority, and worked hard to find me opportunities. And together, we made the impossible possible. Thank you, Julie!
Recently, I had the privilege of working with my recruiter in your Chicago office and wanted to express how much I enjoyed working with them and BCG during my job search. Most candidates who have used other recruiters before BCG probably share the same story-a recruiter spends a short amount of time with a candidate and then wants to peddle a resume to a number of potential employers or sell you on an open position in another firm. Unlike recruiters at other organizations, my recruiter spent a considerable amount of time with me at the beginning of the process learning about my background, skill set, and motivations to find firms that would be a good fit. My recruiter was friendly and straightforward. They identified my strengths and weaknesses as a candidate and offered useful suggestions on preparing for interviews. My recruiter also prepared detailed summaries about me for firms that interviewers remarked were very helpful to them.
With my Chicago recruiter's help, I received an offer within six weeks. Throughout the process, I was impressed by not only my recruiter's professionalism and investment of time in my search, but also by their genuine care and concern for me as an individual. I would highly recommend my recruiter to anyone in the market.
BCG recruiters have participated in a number of Northwestern Law career programs, including our Mock Interview Program and our Market Series, which introduces students to different legal markets around the country. We have been extremely pleased with the recruiters from BCG who have generously given of their time to help students in their career planning. We have received excellent feedback from students about the recruiters and the programs they have presented. We're looking forward to working with BCG on future programs.

I was absolutely thrilled with the service I received from BCG Attorney Search and from my Chicago recruiter in particular. I've recommended you to several friends already.
After each interview, my recruiter in Chicago provided me with solid feedback of my performance, including my strengths and weaknesses, it was invaluable. I got the impression that my recruiter was an old hand at this, as they were very confident in her guidance. My recruiter also knew so many people in the industry and large amounts of detail about each firm.
Julie did a tremendous job placing me at a top law firm. I was looking for a law firm where my tax background would be an immediate asset to the firm's existing client base and where I could also develop an international tax practice. As a full time tax advisor at a Big 4 accounting firm, I did not have the time or resources to keep myself fully aware of every job opportunity. In this respect, Julie was a tremendous recourse. Julie listened to my career goals, and presented me with the right opportunities on a timely basis. Given her knowledge of and connections with the legal community, she was able to place me at law firm that is a perfect match for me given my personality and career goals. I know that I would not have gained this opportunity without Julie's professionalism, dedication and commitment. Julie's knowledge of her candidate's background and goals is a key driver for matching them with the right law firm.

Thanks again for all of your assistance with this search. I'm looking forward to getting started!
This is an excellent opportunity for me and my family. Thanks again for connecting me to [this firm]. Things are going very well. The work and the people have been terrific.
I really appreciate your help - it is a tough market for lawyers. Thank you and please take care!
Some of my favorite things about working with BCG were the ease with which I could view the information about all of the pending applications. So the online portal was quite helpful in keeping track of what applications were sent out on my behalf and what the status of each of those was, in addition to the weekly update that I would receive about how those applications were moving forward. It was all pretty well organized. I think because so much of the work was centralized it was really easy to ask questions. And it was pretty easy for them to ask me a question about reference points, pointing to whichever firm or application or whichever part of the process that I might have been in at the time. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are responsive, helpful, and easy-going.BCG Attorney Search was a really good resource in terms of getting your name out there and getting in contact with firms that you probably wouldn't have had the opportunity to get exposure to on your own.
BCG provided an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated recruiter that guided me through the job search and interview process with ease. BCG had a multitude of articles, sample interview questions and videos to assist in my preparation.Working with BCG and Liz Leach took a lot of stress and time commitment out of the process. It was a relief to know that someone was advocating for me at a variety of firms that I did not even know were hiring. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are experienced, well-prepared, and advocates.I would not hesitate to use you again (if necessary) or refer you to a friend. The only way to optimize your job search is to work with a recruiting firm. Most people do not have any experience with recruiting firms, so they are very unsure of proceeding in that direction. But, in my opinion, particularly if you are working full-time, you simply cannot put the necessary time and effort in by yourself to locate a new position that meets the qualifications you are looking for. BCG does the heavy lifting by finding firms that meet your criteria and then tells you how they rank the firm and how it might meet your needs. BCG provides an all-encompassing service to finding a new position.
