My favorite thing about working with BCG was the service in general, just getting me connected with the firm that I ended up accepting an offer from. I don't know what the difference would have been if I had applied directly, but I think going with BCG in a geographic location where I don't have connections was helpful in that it gave me a leg up over those who were applying directly because it was a new location that I don't have a lot of connections in. I would say I haven't worked with very many recruiters in the past, but I have worked with individual recruiters and I would say that BCG was generally better about communication specifically via email about updating on where things are, and I think others hit or miss on how communicative they are and how they actually work with you and that piece of it was definitely helpful for me!

Placed at Rock Fusco & Connelly, LLCI don't have experience working with any other search firms, but my legal placement professional was just really available to talk, she was helpful and it was a positive experience. I felt comfortable talking to her about any concerns I had and she was very responsive whenever I had questions. I basically didn't even have to do anything in my search.
I love that I had to put in little to no effort to get this job, to be honest with you besides the actual interview I had to go on, but no paperwork or any of that other stuff. She did a really good job of doing all of that for me and she helped me figure out what I wanted as well. It saved me a lot of time, my schedule is pretty busy and when you are already working full time, if someone else can find the things that you're looking for and knew what I wanted, which I wanted to move to a different city so, it really cut the time and effort that I had to put in and allowed me to focus on how best I could present myself in person to the firms that were actually interested. I got what I wanted and on so on a scale of 1 to 10, you guys are a 10, so you're ranked #1.

Placed at Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP.I thought that the two [recruiters] I worked with were both very helpful and knowledgeable, both in terms of our phone conversations and [the fact that] they also sent me good prep material. Pretty much all aspects of [working with BCG made my job searched easier and] helped with identifying opportunities that I wouldn't have otherwise. They worked [with me on] interview prep. The whole experience was very positive. I've only ever worked with one other company closely, [but] I was very happy with the whole experience [of working with BCG]. [The] recruiters were very knowledgeable. I even saw some interview [prep materials] and thought that was very well done. So I was very impressed and happy the whole time.

Placed at Troutman Sanders LLPThe recruiter I worked with had a pretty direct pipeline to the firm that I was interested in, and she was pretty knowledgeable about the type of firm that I was interested in going to. [Working with BCG Attorney Search made my job easier because] it was how I learned about the position that I ended up accepting. I would say [BCG is] pretty plugged in to the legal community...you are very professional and knowledgeable.

Placed at Lynn Pinker Cox & HurstI worked with a recruiter in Houston, and she had so much helpful information about the recruitment process. For example, I'm a transplant [from] New York to Houston, [and] she had a lot of helpful advice on how to answer questions like Why Houston? if you have no ties to Houston or Texas. The coaching I would say was very, very, very top notch. [Working with BCG made my job search] incredibly easier. I submitted my resume to my recruiter, then I had a conversation with her to let her know the things I was looking for in a law firm. She did the rest, and then all of the sudden I had interviews without really having to do very much on my end. [BCG is] competent, very quick, and very prestigious. [Compared to other recruiting companies], I would say by far [BCG is] superior; the top, number one. I would say that BCG really knows their stuff. I highly recommend BCG. They make the process very seamless and very painless. They make sure that each candidate is putting their best foot forward in front of a law firm. I would highly recommend [them].
I just want to drop you a quick note and mention how pleased I am with both BCG Attorney Search and my legal placement professional in terms of your responsiveness and management of this process so far. The other recruiter I've been trying to work with has finally sent out applications on my behalf to MoFo, Wilmer Hale, Fenwick & West, and Snell & Wilmer in the California area, but I have asked her to hold off on sending out anything further to anyone else. As such, I would like to handle all applications going forward with both of you, so I've asked my legal placement professional to check into what other leads he has in the area that I previously asked him to hold off on. Further, I was wondering if you, or another of your associates, has any leads in the Boston or Chicago area. If so, I would be happy to look into those as well. Again, thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to talking with you again.
The thing that impressed me most about my experience with BCG is the willingness of the recruiter to take time out of her schedule and prepare me for the interview. She consistently called the firm to check the status of my application and learned that I had an offer coming before I even received the phone call.
Your recruiter is an absolute professional. He places your career first--regardless of whether he makes a placement. He wants to do what is in your best interest, something that I can't say about other recruiters I have spoken with. Upon meeting him for the first time, he provided insight as to how to make my resume better, and provided an artfully worded cover letter that helped me get several interviews. He worked hard with me to research potential employers, always keeping in mind what I had told him I was looking for. He didn't want to waste my time by sending me to an employer that we knew would not offer me the position I was looking for. Even though he got me several interviews in one city, I had located a position in another city that was very attractive to me. When I asked him for his opinion, he told me that he thought that the opportunity in the other city was one that would be difficult to find anywhere else. I appreciate that, and appreciate his honesty and candor. He easily could have told me that he thought that the position that would earn him a placement was better for me; he didn't. Now I am extremely happy in my new position, and, even though he didn't make the placement, I feel that he is partly responsible for getting me here. I recommend him wholeheartedly, and hope to have him send some placements my way.
I truly appreciate all of your help and am so thankful that this opportunity arose. Obviously, I could not have gotten close to this without your knowledge and skill. I know you get paid for this, but I feel like I should send you a gift or something! Thanks so much.
Suzanne, you could not have been a more professional and delightful person to work with! You made my relocation to Houston from DC relatively stress-free due to the quality of firms and people you put me in touch with. You took the time to find out what I was looking for and used your extensive knowledge of the Houston market and your personal relationships to find the right fit...and we were very successful. I say ''we'' because I could not have pulled this off without you. In addition to being GREAT at what you do, you are a great resource for information and advice. I am sure that everyone who works with you will have a similar experience. To your prospective clients: Look no further than Suzanne Howe for your recruiting needs.
I had the opportunity to work with Suzanne Howe in connection with a recent search for a corporate law associate position. Suzanne was a pleasure to work with for the duration of my job search. In the beginning of the job search, Suzanne assisted me in framing my goals and identifying which type of law firms would be a good match for my career objectives and qualifications. I was amazed at the number of positive responses we received from law firms, and I think that Suzanne's ability to present my background and qualifications in an extremely marketable fashion and her personal connections with various law firms played an integral role in the success of my job search. Suzanne is very personable, and her positive and energetic personality makes her an ideal choice for representing attorneys in job searches. I was also impressed by the manner in which Suzanne was able to prepare me for interviews. We covered all of the questions that I was asked in my interviews, which shows Suzanne's knowledge of what law firms are looking for in a lateral candidate, and I felt comfortable answering the various questions that came up in the interviews. Suzanne helped me formulate responses to interview questions that were much more effective than responses I would have come up with on my own. Perhaps the best part of working with Suzanne was her dedication to the job search. She was very attentive and sincerely cared about placing me with a firm that matched my personal goals and personality. Most importantly, Suzanne's work yielded an excellent final result as I received offers from several highly ranked law firms. I highly recommend Suzanne to any attorney interested in making a lateral move.
Suzanne, I wish I had come to BCG Attorney Search first when I began my job search. I worked with a few recruiters in Texas before talking with you, but it was clear that YOU were fighting the hardest for me. There was a world of difference between my interactions with you and the other recruiters.
My favorite thing overall was that it streamlined the process for me no way I would be able to devote the time required to gather materials and put together cover letters and mass mail. It allowed me to work at my prior job and allowed the process to move forward even though I couldn't devote all my day to it.
