The good thing about working with BCG in general is all of the resources and articles. The job search showed that the firm itself was very familiar with the type of industry I was in. I was at a very large law firm and you could tell by the way they put out articles and the things they talked about (how to prep for interviews, how to do a job search) really did show familiarity with the industry - that was highly appealing and made me feel better about the process. Everyone was extremely responsive which is always good. A combination of these 2 things - responsiveness, client service and it was very apparent the firms were familiar with the legal market.[my legal placement professional] scoped out opportunities that I didn't know existed and handled a lot of the administrative work. This was my first time doing anything like this in the legal industry and I didn't know if I asked "X or Y" how it would look and my legal placement professional was able to say, "what we normally see is this" or "that is not common practice" and that was tremendously helpful. It is always nice to have that resource. BCG Search always had articles put out, I think by the founder. The articles are very good and accurate. It showed a lot of knowledge of the legal industry which is very appealing so it isn't just another person sending you what you thought was spam email- at Proskauer we would get recruiting emails every day. All of the articles are so accurate that I was comfortable enough to say "Okay, here's a place that maybe, unlike the others, really knows the industry." It made me that much comfortable and gave me faith in working with BCG. Q. Where would we rank amongst other recruiting company's?A. I had spoken with other firms before but this was by far the best one.

Placed at Murtha Cullina LLP.The company and my legal placement professional were very familiar with the legal landscape and area where I was looking for a job. She was pro-active about listing out all the firms there were looking. BCG took the burden of trying to find all of the potential employers and job postings. They brought them to me in a way that was a lot easier that me doing it myself. It was a good experience.

Placed at Moore & Van Allen PLLC.You guys have an extensive list of openings and my legal placement professional was really very helpful in guiding me through the process and casting a really wide net and she was very helpful with explaining the process every step of the way. A couple of places rejected me right away, and she explained that and then it was pending in a lot of places and she explained what that really meant and the internal workings of the law firm and how they keep them as pending even if no one has looked at it yet and she had a very large wealth of knowledge about the whole process verses my perspective as a candidate. My legal placement professional did everything, I still was asking if she could help with the health insurance information for the new firm I accepted and I pinged her and asked if she could get it, and right away she turned around and had it. Basically, any time I had a question, I would just email my legal placement professional and it would get solved. You guys are definitely the best. I have worked in the past with other recruiters, but this was such a great experience. I highly recommend BCG. If I was ever looking for another job, I would certainly use you guys again.
I think my favorite thing about working with BCG and Becca was just overall the advice on how to approach the search, I feel like that was very informative. I think that the search brought to my attention, opportunities that I might not have otherwise found, so ensuring that it was as broad as possible. BCG is the first recruiting firm I have worked with and I feel like they are number 1!
I liked the frequency and competence of communication. Working with BCG made my job search easier because it made me aware of the opportunities available. The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are promptness, respect, and efficiency.I would rank BCG pretty highly compared to other recruiting companies I have worked with, and I would recommend you favorably to one of my peers.

Placed at Frommer Lawrence & Haug L.L.P.My recruiter contacted me quickly after my initial contact with BCG. She took the time to get to know me and understand my job search requirements. She identified all possible openings for me, and contacted me often with new job opportunities and updates on my job search. My recruiter also returned my emails and phone calls promptly, was knowledgeable about the market, was an advocate for me and had my best interest at heart. She also prepared me well for my interviews. I would use this recruiter and BCG again if I am ever looking for another position.

Over the course of the past year, I worked with over a dozen Boston area legal recruiters. Your recruiter turned out to be, by far, the best recruiter I found and was ultimately the one who placed me in a new position. The vast majority of recruiters I found worked off of a model which was, I believe, in direct opposition to my best interests as a candidate they started with a list of open positions and tried to force me into one of their existing profiles. He did the opposite; he spent a substantial amount of time with me at the beginning of the process and learned about my skill set and what I was looking for. He then wrote detailed introduction letters on my behalf, which he submitted not only to employers with posted positions but also to employers who were not hiring but who seemed like a good fit. In addition to being pleased with the amount of time and effort he invested in my search, I was impressed by his knowledge of the greater Boston legal market and understanding of how my specific skill set matched or didn't [match] available positions. He was a very pleasant person to work with and always responded quickly and helpfully to my questions. I have recommended him to numerous colleagues and would continue to do so, without reservation, to anyone in the market. He is a refreshing and effective exception to the impersonal cold-call culture that unfortunately seems to dominate the recruiting area.
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed working with you during this process. As you know, I was working with a couple of recruiters. There was a stark difference in my experiences with you and the other recruiter. Your knowledge of the marketplace and your advice helped keep a daunting process manageable. I also appreciated that you were always available-- nights or weekends--for a quick question or update. In short, if any colleagues ask if I know of a recruiter, I will be sending them your way. Again, thanks for all of your help.
BCG's assistance with my job search was invaluable. Being relatively new to this city, I had some basic degree of knowledge regarding the personalities of the different firms in town; but my recruiter was able to fill in a lot of holes. His recommendations as to which firms would suit my interests and which seemed to be in the market for lateral associates with my qualifications were very sound. After working with me to come up with a list of firms to target, he prepared a cover memo that would accompany my resume; his memo made a concise, powerful case as to why I would be a perfect candidate for the target firms. And it was effective: I received an interview with the firm I was most interested in, was invited back for another round of interviews, and ultimately received and accepted the firm's offer. My recruiter in Boston was a good sounding board throughout the interview process; and, in short, he gets my strong, unqualified endorsement as a levelheaded and knowledgeable resource for any lawyer looking to make a move in this area.
"Thank you so much for taking the time to prepare me for the interview. Without your guidance, I most certainly would not have been as crisp as I was that day!"
I think you guys are really responsive. I mainly worked with Katy Anderman and Claudia Barnes and they were both really responsive and I felt like they really cared about my situation and the best fit. They were very pleasant to work with; it wasn't tedious to be on the phone with them. Working with BCG made my job search easier because I did not have to apply to anything on my own.The first words that come to mind when I think of BCG are fast and reliable. I have already referred people to BCG.
