My legal placement professional really helped me negotiate an unusual circumstance, in that I left Los Angeles and my husband and I wanted to take some time off before beginning a new job. I know that is kind of an unusual request and most law firms don't tend to like their candidates to do that. I made it clear that I had a particular start date and she had me negotiate and find somewhere that would work with that.
