What Happens When You Don't Receive Letter Offers?
[00:00:00] This person says I got a verbal offer last week, but yet to receive an offer letter, they changed their mind.
I would say maybe sometimes what happens when you get a verbal offer is a partner that needs you will give you an offer or say, they think they gonna make you an offer and then they may not send you an offer letter. That's one thing that happens because a partner needs to get approval from other partners in the firm and so forth or go to a committee before they do it.
Law firms are also often very nervous about putting things in writing. So, there are a lot of law firms out there that will not give you an offer letter if you can believe it. And they will. And I, it doesn't sound like you're in that situation. Otherwise, she would've said that, but some of the largest, most prestigious law firms do not give offer letters.
We'll just basically say, this is what your salary is going to be. Cause they're afraid you'll use it against you, use it against you, but just remembering a lot from everything needs to be reviewed and proofed and So other people, all these people are going to have to look at it, maybe someone's going to have to approve it.
And so that's kinda what you need to worry [00:01:00] about also last week was a holiday week. I would, and then people are coming back to the office, so I wouldn't worry too much about that delay. And I wouldn't think that they're changing their mind just because of that.
