Okay. It's not just patent law. Attorneys can work internationally in corporate law, capital markets and finance. You can work internationally in patent laws. One, it's not as common, but you can work in international arbitration, which is very difficult.
Unless you have experience in big US firms, it can be very difficult, but you can do it. These are the kinds of jobs where, theoretically, you'd be hired to do them almost over the phone type of thing or over just a meeting. They're not that difficult to get hired for.
International arbitration is very difficult. Corporate finance, particularly in project finance, these are jobs where there's a lot of demand, internationally and it differs from time to time. There's certain types of people that are very marketable overseas. Few, for example, speak Japanese, or you are Japanese and working in the U S it's very easy to work internationally as well. You can definitely practice internationally overseas.
It's not difficult, but typically when you are practicing in international and they are looking for people that [00:01:00] are coming from large firms with big experiences so it's recognizable. A big U.S. law firm, is more likely to hire someone from big US law firms than they are on smaller law firms. But if you move to an international market, you're actually living there and you can get jobs. Typically, they do expect you to be admitted to a bar and with capital markets and finance. It's almost always Am Law to U.S patent office international arbitration.
